The long-awaited moment has arrived at last. The mid-engine Corvette Z06 has finally been revealed and we can’t wait to share with you some of its best qualities. These are the Chevy Corvette Z06 performance features we’re most excited about.
Unique front and rear fascia
It’s the first time the Corvette Z06 has a different front and rear end compared to the Stingray. Designed to optimize the car’s higher cooling needs, it also means that Z06 owners will stand out from other ‘Vette drivers.
Carbon fiber wheels
The more carbon fiber, the better. These 20- or 21-inch wheels help save 41 pounds in unsprung mass (mass not held by the suspension). Expect the Z06 to deliver some truly impressive performance gains in part thanks to these ultra-lightweight wheels.
A new naturally-aspirated V8 engine revs up to an 8,600-rpm redline and features facing-style dry-sump oiling. It’s a version of the same engine that has powered the GT3-spec Corvette endurance racing car since 2019. In other words, its performance and durability are assured.
Z07 performance package
Chevrolet says this new package helps the Corvette generate 734 pounds of downforce at 186 mph, more than any Corvette in the past. There’s a lot more to the package, and to the Z06 in general, so make sure to call us at Jupiter Chevrolet in Garland, Texas, for all the details!
