The Silverado 2500 HD truck is one of the most capable, powerful vehicles you can buy from Chevrolet. With several updates on the way, this heavy-duty truck is about to get even better for the 2021 model year.
You’ll be able to purchase the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with new Mosaic Black Metallic or Cherry Red Tintcoat exterior paint jobs. A new 18-inch wheel design will be available, too, along with five new 20-inch wheel options.
Under the hood, the 2021 Silverado 2500 HD will maintain its two powertrain options: a 6.6-liter V8 that puts out 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, and a Duramax® 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8 that makes 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. However, the gas V8 will now offer E85 FlexFuel capability for cleaner performance.
You can expect several changes inside the cabin of the 2021 Silverado 2500 HD. Work Truck, Custom and LT trims will get a new split-bench front seat with covered armrest storage. These trims will also receive a new available auto-dimming rearview mirror that shows a video display of the bed. On higher trims, wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® will be available as well.
Five new special editions will be offered for the 2021 Silverado 2500 HD: the LTZ Premium Texas Edition, the Midnight Edition, the Z71 Sport Edition, the Z71 Chrome Sport Edition and the Carhartt Special Edition.
